New JIS K7139:2009 based on ISO standards (ISO 20753) for plastic, has defined the tensile test specimens of three types of A1, A2 and A3. As they can be applicable to a wide range of applications, they are often referred to as multipurpose test specimens.
The feature of multipurpose test specimens is that test specimens are formed under the same conditions and are measured in the same state. It is said therefore, that the dispersion does not occur in the characteristic value of the test specimens to be obtained.
In the past, there was the impossible physically to obtain the test specimen for tensile test and other test specimen including for Izod and Charpy impact tests directly from cutting. If the test specimen could be obtained, it has many difficulties for standard specimen.
Therefore, in general, to obtain the test specimen, machine cutting method was only used as the effective means. But, in this preparation method, it needs much time. And also there were many difficulties such as physical influence to the test specimen due to friction heat to be happened at the time of cutting work, rough finish of cutting surface, problem in accuracy, the cost of equipment itself, etc.
This equipment is developed by us as the rational and ideal full automatic cutting equipment for making test specimen eliminating many such technical problems.
Also, in improving this equipment, epoch-making ideas in the means of making the standard test specimen and the technique of Super Dumbbell® (replaceable blade cutter system) which is our original products are combined.

So far, we have been selling many units of this equipment as rational and ideal cutting equipment.

Brittleness temperature test specimen automatic cutting machine (Prepared for New JIS)

Dimension of Brittleness temperature test specimen stipulated by ISO 974/JIS standard is extremely microscopic size and strict allowable accuracy is defined. Also, numbers of test specimen to be put on the clamp are many [1 shot = 15 pcs. x numbers of brittleness destroy temperature point].
Therefore, it is necessary to make a large quantity of test specimen.
From this point of view, the biggest problem to be solved was to shorten the necessary time for making the test specimen and to obtain more accurate test specimen.
